Carpet spills are harder to clean than liquids on hard surfaces. Trying to scrub it away will only push the stain deeper into the carpet fibers. The Carpet Guys will cover the top 4 most common carpet stains and how to remove them:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4><em>Note about stain removal methods:<\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Some methods below include <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.carpetguys.com\/blog\/10-ways-to-clean-with-vinegar\/\" target=\"_blank\">cleaning with white vinegar<\/a> and other chemicals. Make sure to consult your carpet manufacturer before executing any stain removal on your own. Before doing anything, take a dry towel and blot at the spill. Next, make a mixture of white vinegar, dawn dish soap, and water in a spray bottle. Spray the area and let it soak for about five to ten minutes, then blot it again. This should remove the carpet stain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2.) Blood\u00a0<\/strong>&#8211; To remove a blood stain, always use cold water instead of hot water. Blood coagulates with heat. Interestingly, cold water will keep the stain from permeating deeper into the fibers. First, create a spray solution of a grease-fighting detergent and some cold water and spray it on the stain. After the spot has been dampened, begin the blotting process. When that yellow stain is found, use the same blot\nmethod as above. If the spot has already dried, then remoisten it. After the\nspot has been blotted, use a little white vinegar and water to neutralize the\nodor and blot the area again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4.) Ink\u00a0<\/strong>&#8211; Unfortunately, an ink stain can cause some major damage to carpet fibers. Dampen a clean towel with a little bit of isopropyl alcohol and begin the blotting process. The spot may require treatment with the alcohol a couple of times before it is completely removed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Though stains are inevitable, there are ways to treat them. Remember, the\nmost important factor in removing stains is timing.
