We’ve always had a soft spot for our lovable furry friends, and it touched our hearts when we saw that Ford Motor Company made a soundproof doghouse <\/em>prototype.<\/p>\n

The doghouse’s purpose is to alleviate stress and panic caused by holiday fireworks. Veterinarians have been urging dog owners for years to find quiet spaces for their pups to stay since these fireworks terrify them.\u00a0 Many of them have run out in front of cars, developed anxiety, and become stressed to the point of injury and self-harm.<\/p>\n

Then Ford stepped in.<\/p>\n

The First Prototype Noise-Canceling Dog Kennel<\/small><\/h2>\n

Using high-end vehicle technology, Ford has created a noise-canceling doghouse<\/strong> that blocks out loud and harsh noises. since dogs have such an acute sense of hearing, these noises can be very painful and upsetting.<\/p>\n

Vet Tech Michele Mara says that\u00a0\u00a0“They (dogs) go through glass windows,\u00a0rip the house up on the Fourth of July. They don’t like the sound of guns or fireworks. They just don’t handle it well. Many people often medicate the animals.”<\/p>\n

Ford’s quiet kennel detects the harsh sounds and transmits opposing frequencies. It also has an automatic door for easy entrance and exit. The kennel is not yet being produced and unavailable for purchase.<\/p>\n

Anthony Ireson, Ford Europe’s director of marketing said,\u00a0“We’re not in the dog kennel business, but if someone wants to develop the prototype? Ford is open to the idea.”<\/p>\n
