Holiday Potpourri<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Make your whole house smell like the holidays you remember\nas a child by boiling a pot of all your favorite spices in water (Try: 2 apples\nsliced, 2 cinnamon sticks, 1 lemon slice, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and 4\ncloves). The spices will evaporate into the air creating the potpourri that\ntakes you back to your childhood.  It\u2019s\neasy and doesn\u2019t require anything other than being home to monitor it. Do this\nevery holiday season and you will create that same tradition for your children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Homemade Gifts<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

One of the best ways to save money on gift-giving during the\nholidays is to make gifts.  Homemade\ngifts are much more personal and enjoyable because so many people can\u2019t take\nthe time to make gifts.  Things like homemade\ncookies wrapped in cute packaging, painted ornaments from the dollar store or\neven \u201ccoupons\u201d for babysitting or cleaning are greatly appreciated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
