Free ecards instead of mailing can save you money on cards, postage and even time. Just download a free ecard app from your app store. Most ecard apps will allow you to utilize through Facebook, email, etc. You can even upload pictures and create fun layouts.
Homemade Gifts
One of the best ways to save money on gift-giving during the holidays is to make gifts. Homemade gifts are much more personal and enjoyable because so many people can’t take the time to make gifts. Things like homemade cookies wrapped in cute packaging, painted ornaments from the dollar store or even “coupons” for babysitting or cleaning are greatly appreciated.
Holiday Decorating
If you’re interested in decorating for the holidays but don’t want to spend a lot of money, just add small touches. Go to your local discount store and pick up some festive hand towels for the bathroom and kitchen. If you put up a tree, make it small which will require fewer ornaments.
