Why Black Carpet?
Black carpet is a design decision rather than a default, and it pays off in media rooms, basements and spaces where you want the floor to recede and the furniture to stand out. Charcoals and near-blacks give the same effect with a little more forgiveness.
Living With Black Carpet
Dark carpet shows lint and pet hair more readily than mid-tones — the opposite of the usual assumption. It is genuinely striking in the right room, and we would rather you see it in yours first.
